John Hosking brings a distinguished career in tertiary education leadership to J Hosking Consulting. He served as the Dean of Science at the University of Auckland from 2014-2024, and prior to that, was the Dean of Engineering and Computer Science at the Australian National University. His academic journey includes a significant tenure as Professor of Applied Computer Science and Head of Department at the University of Auckland. With over 200 publications, John's research in Software Engineering is extensive, coupled with a history of impactful university-industry engagement. His contributions have been recognised with an FRSNZ and a National Tertiary Teaching Excellence award.
